Tuffy is a 1 1/2 year old neutered male Blue Heeler/Terrier mix. He weighs about 22 lbs, is learning to trust humans in his foster home. He was abandoned when his owners died and the family left him behind to fend for himself. There is evidence that he has been chased and perhaps tormented by people. He is eager to be your friend, readily wags his tail when you talk to him. Loves to be petted but, as yet, you have to go to him. Not the least bit mean, only uncertain of what treatment he may receive.
Tuffy is very well behaved indoors and will wait forever to go potty outside. He is alert, curious and attentive. He loves his Kong toy and very quickly empties it. He doesn't like the leash, but is working on it. Tuffy doesn't like cats too much, but gets along great with the other dogs in his foster home. He will be a terrific little companion to a kind, gentle and patient person.
